Nurse practitioners must be knowledgeable on the different cannabis preparations available, common usage and physiological impact on health. It is also imperative that health care providers know the best terms and communication approaches to ask young patients about their use of cannabis and assess willingness for cessation.

The certification exam review resources are designed to prepare graduates of acute care PNP programs for the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) acute care certification exam. Aligning with the revised content outline, these resources will focus on system-based acute care content and the role of the PNP in assessment, diagnosis and management of children with acute, critical and complex pediatric illnesses. NAPNAP’s self-paced certification exam review course includes recordings and downloadable handouts from our live acute care certification review course on Sept. 21-23, 2023. An exam outline was updated on Dec. 9, 2024 so a few lectures were updated based on that. The course will award 16.75 CE. Note: If you completed and claimed credit for NAPNAP’s live certification review course, CE awarded for this online course will not be valid.
