Common Pediatric Sports and Overuse Injuries

Many children involved in sports will sustain some type of injury from significant trauma to mild overuse conditions. Many of these issues can affect the pediatric athlete's performance and need to be addressed by an orthopedic expert in a timely manner. The presenter will discuss the most common injuries and conditions in pediatric athletes, including presentation, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. Conditions include significant fractures of extremities, which may or may not require surgery.
