Think Outside the Hospital: Smarter Outpatient Care for Children with Medical Complexity This continuing education activity is a recorded presentation for NAPNAP's 2026 National Conference. Children with medical complexity (CMC) make up a small portion of the pediatric population but drive a disproportionate share of health care spending, much of it due to avoidable hospitalizations. Simplifying complicated pneumonia: Pediatric case studies This continuing education activity is a recorded presentation for NAPNAP's 2026 National Conference. Complicated pneumonias in children are associated with longer lengths of hospital stay and increased resource utilization. There is debate in the literature about many aspects of managing complicated pneumonia, including antibiotic choice and duration, drainage approach, fibrinolysis and surgery.
