Building upon our novel 2021 COVID-19 study on the pediatric APRN workforce - the only study to assess impact on pediatric-focused APRNs - the 2022 follow-up study illuminates the unique impacts of COVID-19 on pediatric patients, families and the APRN workforce. NAPNAP member needs and priorities have evolved, therefore results from this study are highly relevant to the NAPNAP membership and will inform NAPNAP on strategic organizational priorities across practice, education, research and policy arenas.

This life-saving, innovative workshop and leadership opportunity is specifically developed for pediatric focused NPs to learn about child trafficking, methods of identification and referral and, most importantly, prevention. There are more people enslaved in labor and/or sex trafficking than at any point in history, meaning children of all socio-economic profiles are at risk with some populations more vulnerable than others. Alliance for Children in Trafficking (ACT) Advocates will receive a certificate of recognition as a trained expert who will then be able to deliver this unique content to health care professionals and lay people in your community.

Mentorship is a tool that can be used in health care to combat difficult role transition, job dissatisfaction and turnover. This presentation will discuss the different types of mentoring, current research regarding mentoring in APRNs, benefits of mentorship, strategies for training mentors, and lessons learned from development and implementation from a formal mentorship program for new graduate PNPs at an academic children’s hospital. Participants will also gain tools needed to become mentors themselves.
