In the absence of skilled lactation support, infant crying and unsettled behavior are often misconstrued as a sign of milk insufficiency or inadequacy and can lead to formula supplementation and premature cessation of breastfeeding. In this presentation, infant developmental adaptive behaviors will be presented to assist parents in interpreting infant feeding and disorganized sleep behaviors and how to respond accordingly without undermining breastfeeding.

This presentation will demonstrate how applying these platforms can engage this generation of students while enhancing critical thinking and facilitating effective communication skills.
