The research community has attempted to answer this need with a plethora of publications published in this field over the last several years; however, recommendations can often be confusing, incomplete and even contradictory. We will review common complaints such as headache, toe walking, abnormal movements, vomiting and more as we journey the history taking process to recognize red flags and prompt referral to specialty care. Using case-based examples, you will learn why early hand preference may indicate stroke and why a teen girl with migraines may be presenting with a thrombosis.
