When a child has a functional GI disorder, although they may be experiencing GI symptoms, these are not due to an underlying organic medical condition. Medications and diet can be beneficial when used appropriately with realistic expectations. This presentation is aimed at helping practitioners accurately identify and manage functional GI disorders.
