• Review the epidemiology, clinical manifestations and diagnostic criteria for cytomegalovirus (CMV) in pediatric populations. 

• Discuss treatment, management, and anticipatory guidance for CMV in pediatric patients.

• Locate resources with the most up-to-date CMV practice guidelines and resources. 

• Explain the goals of screening for CMV and state surveillance and identify prevention strategies.
