Using case studies, we will discuss common post-operative complications, as well as some unusual complications and potential intervention and treatment strategies.

Pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses
• Review criteria for admission to the PICU for infants and children.
• Discuss common diagnoses and post-op cases commonly seen in the PICU.
• Discuss common complications seen in these patient populations.
• Discuss strategies to improve communication between providers to improve transition of care and anticipatory guidance regarding potential post-operative complications.
