Learning Objectives

• Describe clinical symptoms and diagnostic testing for the pediatric patient suspected of having inflammatory bowel disease.
• Discuss medical and surgical treatment plans, including clinical monitoring for the pediatric patient with inflammatory bowel disease.
• Identify psychosocial concerns prevalent in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease, including psychosocial issues, self-management and transition of care.
