NAPNAP's annual legislative training, which includes information for chapter legislative chairs (and presidents) for their role as state-based advocacy leaders.

Learning Objectives
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of NAPNAP chapter legislative chairs and the national Health Policy Committee in advancing child health policy.
- Identify effective strategies for building relationships with legislators, collaborating with advocacy partners, and communicating child health priorities at the state and local levels.
- Apply advocacy best practices, including developing clear legislative messages, making effective policy "asks," and using professional communication strategies to influence child health policy.
- Locate NAPNAP advocacy resources and describe how they can be used to support state and federal advocacy efforts.
