Nephrology for the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

The proposed presentation will contain basic information regarding common Nephrology diagnosis (hypertension, hematuria, and proteinuria) that are unfamiliar to many primary care providers. It will discuss initial workup and management, if/when to refer to Nephrology and if/when to refer directly to ED. The goal of this presentation would be to empower the primary care NPs to further evaluate these common diagnoses before sending a referral.
