This course will feature an exemplar, a clinical pathway to guide initial pediatric headache evaluation and management in primary care. The clinical pathway is a clinical decision support tool to bridge the evidence to practice gap, using evidence-based therapies to provide appropriate, consistent treatment interventions, while improving the quality of care. The step-by-step process of the development and implementation of the clinical pathway will be illustrated.

Introduction: This continuing education activity is administered by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) as an Agency providing continuing education credit. Individuals who complete this program and earn a 70% or higher score on the post test will be awarded 1.0 NAPNAP contact hour, of which 0.25 is pharmacology.
